Biography
Prof. Dr. Kürşad Zorlu is a Turkish politician and academic with expertise in political science, public administration, management, and strategy. He has held senior academic and public positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Management Sciences, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Bozok University. His academic and professional work focuses particularly on Central Asia, Eurasia, and the Turkic world. He has conducted extensive research, authored numerous academic publications and books, and served as an international election observer in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. He has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to the Turkic world, including the Order of Dostyk of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2026. Prof. Dr. Zorlu was elected as a Member of Parliament for Ankara in 2023 and joined the Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) in January 2025. He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the AK Parti and Chairman of the Party’s Relations with Turkic States. He speaks English and Kazakh.
